Unlike several online virus scanners which load a scanner module on your PC to check it for viruses, the aČ Online-Check is a comprehensive security check which shows possible dangers in your PC configuration. Additionally it shows which information about you and your computer is available to the public. You will be surprised how much information anybody else accessing the internet can collect about you only by tracking your website-visit.
Here is the aČ Online-Check:

Nice report, and fast. My ISP responded with "no response", my browser was ID'd as IE and Gecko...your choice, and the rest of the test concluded that I must be OK...or as it was put, it seems you have no problems associated with Active X. BTW, the free A2 program is good, too. Thanks for the link!

An interesting scan. No open ports, no ISP response, and since I don't use IE, no Active X problems. Only miminal browser information supplied. This confirms several other browser/ firewall tests I have run.
Thanks for posting the link.
Regards,
John

You are welcome.
phawgg,
Agree about the a2 program. Been using it as part of my regular maintenance program (Spybot, Ad-aware,Spyblaster,Spywareguard, AV, a2) for quite a while, now. So far (knock on wood), I've been able to remain problem free for about 2 yrs.
IMHO, with all of the "nasties" out there on the net, you would be a Fool to go surfing without these (or similar) security programs.
