My house main desktop is connected to a Netgear router.
We are using two laptops . Mine running XP Pro and connecting wirelessly to the Internet (no problem) and my daughter
laptop running Vista home premium.
Until two weeks ago she could connect to the internet, but "suddenly" the connection failed. The connection says now 'Access: Local Only'
I've tried restarting her computer, wireless card, router. modem. and disabling the firewall, with no luck.
I have also disabled IPv6 [Removed the checkmark from the box next to "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)]
with no success
What could it be??

1. I opened the Command Prompt and typed: IPCONFIG, I've got the following:

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6001]

Need assistance Please.

I solved the problem
1. I tried to connect to the internet in Safe Mode - connected successfully
2. I disconnected the AV (Nod 32 Internet Security Version 3)
The laptop connected to the Internet
3. Connected the AV but disabled the Firewall - connected successfully
I concluded that the Firewall was the root cause.
4. Opened the Nod Firewall (Advanced Setup Firewall setup) and under the 'Filtering Mode'
I modified the 'Automatic Mode' to 'Interactive Mode' and activated the Firewall
Problem solved
