Hello-- I am having trouble getting my computer to connect to the internet. Here are the details. I use 2 internet connections. My main broadband connection and I also use a dial up account as a backup. I have no problem getting this computer to connect with the dial up account. When I plug in my broadband ethernet cable Network Connections says that the 1394 Connection is connected but when I attempt to access the internet I can't get on. I have no problem getting other computers to connect with the broadband connection just this one. I usually just plug in the ethernet cable and I am connected....So I am not sure what's going on. Thanks in advance for your time and help. thumbup.gif thumbup2.gif

It was a simple setting adjustment. I right clicked on the connection under "Network Connections" in Control Panel and clicked enable. The connection was disabled and I just re enabled it. thumbup2.gif thumbup2.gif

i think the 1394 adapter is for your dial up connection so if you see that under lan connections, u will usually see another lan connection. that is the connection that u'll enable. but im not sure..correct me if im wrong. :")
