Hi Guys. I am trying to take perfect shots of the Bios on my monitor (Clearly Readable)
I am using a Samsung S750 Digital Camera.
Not having a great deal of success.
Wondering how images like this below are achieved,or is there another method?
Best I can come up with,is a dark room and no flash, but the images are still poor.
Any hints much appreciated.
This is the sort of images of the Bios I am after, but it aint happening.
This is an image off the Net.

Could you put it on a tripod, and then put it completely level/flat in front of the screen? You might be getting some blur because you need a slower shutter speed in the low light to completely expose it.

Thanks for your reply,Vaerli. Will try your suggestions. thumbup2.gif

This is the clearest,I can get so far, without a tripod.
Should I expect better? I wonder. smile.gif

I would imagine that the image in your first post is actually a screen capture and not a photograph.

How does one take a Screen Capture, while in the Bios?
I couldn't get PrintScreen to work.
Thanks thumbup2.gif

From what I've read it's not simple (try doing an internet search on: "capture bios screens").

One method is to use a video capture adapter on the video output of the PC. For this you need a PC that can output analog video over an S-video cable, for example, and a way to capture it digitally with a camera or other device.

Thanks for your advice,Budapest. Much appreciated. thumbup2.gif
I use Snagit for just about everything, but this one stumped me. smile.gif
Will search the Net, for a solution.

I would tend to agree with budapest on this one. either a special bios dumper (or even an emulator that can view the bios from inside an os??) or likely a video capture using another pc with a video input card of sorts. But work with your camera, try getting the image aligned and zoomed best you can, make sure there is no flash and you use your cameras macro control and get the camera as close as possible, you, may surprise yourself, also no light reflections from windows or light sources, a none shiny screen of an lcd may work better!

Yes looks like these are the only options as the OS has not booted.
Your right,High500, absolutely no light from anywhere, is necessary to get the best shots possible, with a digital Camera.
Night time, I have found the best time, to take shots.
Still learning all the settings, on this Camera, and will experiment more.
I must buy a Tripod,as they are cheap,here in OZ. thumbup2.gif
