I am using Open Office SCALC spreadsheet. In Open Office 3.0, I cannot open .tsv files in SCALC. If I am in SCALC and try to open a .tsv file, the file is automatically open by WRITER, i.e a text format. If I use the "open with" command, SCALC does not appear in the list of programs to select from. I can browse, but when I do this and select SCALC, nothing happens. How do I add SCALC to the list of programs that I can select from to open a .tsv file?

Have you tried dragging the .tsv file into the SCALC window?

As for having SCALC open automatically when you double-click a .tsv file, I don't know how to do that besides the method you have already tried.

Thank you MadDawg. As you suggested, I tried dragging the .tsv file into the SCALC window and it worked. SCALC opened it as an .ods file.
