I keep getting a message when I try to run windows defender of: Application failed to initialize
ox800106ba a program caused this server to stop. To start this service restart your computer (which I have done and it does not fix the problem) or search Help and Support for how to start this service manually. Which I have done and can not find it. Please help

If you are using McAfee software, please read this article HERE

Otherwise:

Open the 'services' window (Start >> Run >> services.msc).
Navigate to Windows defender and double click it then start the service.
Make sure that the 'start up type is set to 'automatic.
