I have downloaded knoppix from their website. The download was fine but when I've tried to burn it to disc, I got an error with about 10% to go. It said that the disc was not compatible with the source disc.

I am using Sonic Record Now, a Pioneer CD/DVD RW and Philips CD-R80 discs.

Any ideas?

You cant burn iso's with sonic record now....its mainly for music and data (data being word docs......etc etc

Youll need a good program like nero express or nero burning rom and then youll select burn as iso.

You can also use Adaptec EZ CD Creator, though the ISO burning is buried in the program's menu.

Best program I found for burning images is Alcohol120% with a vast number of image extensions even nrg ;)

Out of interest guys, this might surprise ya. I'm having no problems burning images with Sonic now. I've used it for Fedora Core 4 (which installed like a dream as dual boot) and I've done a copy of knoppix with it as well.

Tell ya something else; it's a sight easier than Nero! Just select data disc and it automatically picks it up as an ISO.

So, there's something we didn't know. w00t.gif whistling.gif
