A friend of my the family recently passed awayand left us his computer. He had it working at the very latest 2 weeks ago. Ive hooked everything up including the Gateway FPD1520 monitor but when i start the computer the monitor flashes, then says DSUB ANALOG POWER SAVING MODE and then it wil lremain on for a few seconds and then shut off....I had some trouble figureing out how to hook it up since it requires an AC adapter hook up unlike my Dell which just plugs into the power bar. In a few minutes im gona try hooking my Dell monitor up to it to see if it works but that isnt a long term solution wacko.gif

Any help??....anyone? blink.gif

What kind of computer is this? If its a name brand can you give us a make and model number? If you get the first screen, press the pause key to stop the boot and see if you can determine what type of Bios you have, such as Award, AMI or Phoenix.

Dear cow,

It could be a dozen things wrong at this point.

We need more information. Like, desktop model, brand, and so on.

Let us know,
