Recently; I was clacking away in my office, and suddenly the power went off! Everything seems to be fine EXCEPT Outlook Express. I'm running Windows 2000 Pro , SP4 and Outlook Express 6, fully updated. Now, when I try to run Outlook Express, I get and error that "MSOE.dll cannot initialize", and "Windows cannot locate the message store". I've un-installed IE 6 (after many hassles, un-installing SP4 so I could GET to the uninstall for IE, etc...) after re-install of both IE6 (including Outlook Express 6) and Windows SP4, no luck. I've found the message store (and made a copy just in case) so I think:
Either a windows file that works in conjunction with MSOE.dll is corrupted
or
A registry value/key/whatever is pointing in the wrong direction.
Somebody please help me get up and running! Outlook Express is the only MS application that I really enjoy using, and I don't want to switch mail clients. What should I do?
