N E 1 KNO PLS Help.

Iam trying to see how many mp3 songs I can put on my 32 mb memory card. Iam pretty sure that its not going to be much.
Scarlett
KiloByte = 1024 (Bytes)

MegaByte = 1024 KB (KiloBytes)

GigaByte = 1024 MB (MegaBytes)

TeraByte = 1024 GB (GigaBytes)

PetaByte = 1024 TB (TeraBytes)

Using this, 1 PB (PetaByte) = 136,339,441,844,224 Bytes

Coming Soon... LOTTAByte (LB)

A 32 mb card will not hold too much unfortunately, you may want to think of 128+ sized cards.

Thanks for the table Scarlett, I'd never heard of Petabytes before!

Isn't there a FemtoByte in there somewhere?

Are those cards real megabytes or marketing megabytes? Some years ago the Sales types got away with re-defining a megabyte to be 1,000,000 bytes, just wondering if a 32MB card is 33,554,432 bytes or 32,000,000 bytes?

I believe Exabyte is next after Peta, then zettabyte, then yottabyte. Femto byte goes in the other direction. it's 10 to the -15 power. It's the exact opposite to Petabyte, which is 10 to the 15 power.

I remember that too, sales people got away with murder back then, but then 32 mb was HUGE
Rimmer
Thanks efizzer I was (half) kidding about the Femto.
