Hi All

I was bidding on OS X 10.4 DVD Install Discs last week on eBay, and won the auction at £38. The Item was described as OS X 10.4 New.

I receieved the dvds today, but it turns out they are MacBook install discs and when I try to run it on my iBook, I get a driver error at boot. Is it possible to use these discs on my G4 iBook 10.3? I feel the discs have been misrepresented by the seller.

I do have another Mac, G5 Intel iMac with 10.4 installed andI have read about using iBook as a Target disc? but I am not sure about this.

Thanks
Stu

The MB install disk won't work with either of your Macs. It also wouldn't work if you tried installing 10.4 from your iMac using Target Disk Mode either. You'll need to buy a 10.4.x Upgrade Disk if you want to upgrade the iBook G4 to Tiger.
