How to remove AFA Internet Enhancement or Vcmnet11.exe
What this program does:
AFA Internet Enhancement or Vcmnet11.exe creates popups on your computer and redirects websites that would produce a 404 error to their own site instead.

Removal Instructions:
In order to remove this infection we will need to use HijackThis to manually remove the infection:
- Print out these instructions as we will need to shutdown every window that
is open later in the fix..
- Enter the Windows Control Panel and double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
- When the installed programs list appears, double-click on the entry for
Windows AFA Internet Enhancement if it exists and allow it to uninstall.
Then exit the Add/Remove Programs screen and the Control Panel.
- Download
HijackThis from the above link and extract it to c:\hijackthis.
- Reboot your computer into Safe
Mode
- Navigate to the c:\hijackthis directory and double-click on HijackThis.exe
- Close all open windows.
- When the program starts, click
on the Scan button.
- Put a checkmark next to the following entry (There may be more
than one of each):
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C370527A-24A7-4583-BE01-72E59000EB17} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\n.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [C:\WINDOWS\VCMnet11.exe] C:\WINDOWS\VCMnet11.exe - Then click the Fix button
- Put a checkmark next to the following entry (There may be more
than one of each):
- Exit HijackThis.
- Delete the following files if they exist:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\n.dll
C:\WINDOWS\VCMnet11.exe
- Reboot your computer back to normal mode.
Your computer should now be free of AFA Internet Enhancement or Vcmnet11.exe. It is likely, though, that this infection was installed with other malware. If you need help removing it, post a hijackthis log in the forums.
