After the welcome screen, I can move around and do stuff on the desktop for about 1 minute or 10 seconds, and the computer freezes. I can still move the cursor. The computer works in safe mode, and I already tried a full virus scan on the system with NOD32, Spyware Doctor, and Malwarebyte's Anti Malware. I'm also using Windows Vista Home Edition. I'm running the computer in safe mode right now. I also defragmented.

I just uninstalled NOD32 after I scanned the computer.

Try these 3 Vista tools to see what's going on:

- Go to Start and type in "perfmon /report" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Let us know of any issues that it points out.

- Go to Start and type in "perfmon" (without the quotes) and press Enter. In the left hand pane click on the Reliability Monitor and let us know of any error messages that relate to the freezes (on the same day).

- Go to Start and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter. In the left hand pane, expand the Windows logs and click on the System log file - scroll down in the right hand pane to the time when the freezes occurred and see if there are any errors/warnings around that time. Then click on the Application log file and do the same thing.
