Ok, I got 2 templates (1 from one of my old sites), and a new one. I was thinking about redoing the old one, and I've been thinking about finishing the new layout.

Yes the old one is from of those common places, however when I got it, I had to modify the top banner and the side panel thing (on the left) didn't go all the way to the end).

Also the reason I want to see what you guys think is I don't want to get started on the one and find out it sucks and try the other one.

I'm thinking about centering the design (on the new one) and adding a right column, so you would have a left column, content, then right column in order.

I would like to have a "custom" search (that wasn't liked externally and ran from an external site.) I think I would need some CGI to do this, I'm not sure.

If someone could right a code (i think either CGI or PHP would be required, then again, i'm not sure) that would be very appreciated.

Definatley go with PHP.

But I don't know any PHP at all, and very little about CGI (like only how to create a file, lol)

I'm sure you could find someone that can help you out - I would, but I just don't seem to have the time to brush up on my PHP skills anymore
