Hello all. I am running a Dell Inspiron E1505 notebook that I have had for a few years now. Out of the blue my touchpad is very jumpy/slow. Also my keyboard is all of a sudden unresponsive to where I sometimes have to hit one key several times for it to respond. The machine itself seems to be running at normal speed, it is just the touchpad and keyboard giving me trouble. This is making life very difficult as I can't get anything done on my computer. Just typing this short post has taken forever. I looked around the forum and saw that another member had a similar issue resolved by downloading a driver from Dell product support. I looked at what is available for my machine but did not want to do anything before hearing from the experts. Your help is greatly appreciated.

-Dell Inspiron E1505
-Windows XP
-Protected by McAfee (scan came back clean)
-Run Spyhunter and Spybot (relatively free of Spy/adware)
-Regularly run Registry Mechanic

Thanks again.

Got any warranty left?
If so get DELL to change your keyboard and mouse pad, sounds like hardware that need to be replaced.
