So I bought a new computer last month with Vista Home Premium. Today somebody wanted to fax me something ao I looked for the fax console that I was accustomed to using in XP on my old computer. Not there. Hmmmm. Got on the internet. Became quickly apparent that Vista Home Premium has no fax capabilities.

Did some googling. Found lots of fax programs if I wanted to pay for them, which I don't, since I rarely fax either in or out.

Kept looking and found references to two free programs.

A couple of people on the internet indicated that the USR software was compatible with other than USR modems.

http://www.blackice.com/impColorFaxLite.htm

Couple of recommendations for that one but one person had a mess trying to fax out with it.

So, my questions are two:

1 - Has anybody used either of the two methods with Windows Vista Home Premium and how well did they work for you?

2 - Anybody know of any other free fax software that can be used with Windows Vista Home Premium?
