I seem to remember that the Poms could not beat the Springboks?
The Aussies have one more Game to catch up to the other two.

Sorry about the Chart, it diddn't turn out as I had hoped.
Abacus 7
Aussies and Kiwis are at it again.

1 each in the Bledisloe Cup two to go! This year they play a 4th Game in Hong Kong to introduce China into the Sport if they can? Hong Kong is in it, but I think is all about attracting interest from China. Be wonderful to see the Chinese get involved in the next World Cup.

There is never much difference between the Kiwis and the Aussies results, Mate, we flog them, then they flog us. hysterical.gif

Poms get their occaisional Moment of Glory, as do the Springboks.

Can we include the Boks, (meaning South Africa) here too, we all are the Best of Rivals and Mates in a lot of Sports.

BTW, I would love others from all around the World get involved in this Thread, let's keep alive a Spirit generated by the Olympics and just enjoy some Nice Company that likes to have a bit of Fun. That is what the World needs I think.

Look at the thing about Rice, (Aussie) and Phelps, (Yank) ? Two Champions that let their hair down together. That is what it is was all about and could still be untill the next one, if we let it?

thumbup2.gif

Yep we should include the Springboks, I know they are South Africans thumbup.gif. Will change the Title if I can.

Yes but we got to the Final of the Rugby World Cup and had a go at the Springboks, you went out in the Quarter Final smile.gif. The Springboks lost that Coach forgot his name a moment but they don't seem to have been same since they lost him, they couldn't get him to sign another Contract I think.

Edit: Looks like I can't Mate, Less than 24 hours and I can't change the Title. Hmmm wonder if I can get a Mod to change it for me.

Nice to know you think that, I will take the part after your first comma thumbup2.gif. Yeah we do vary at times but make up for it in the Big Occasions.

Half our team may have retired since 2003 but we have Youth coming through at a Good Rate as well wish it was as good for the England Football team.

Oh just sent a Message to quietman7 about changing the Thread Title. We were including the Rugby Playing Nations and Cricket.

Maybe the Title Description should read "Other Members Welcome" instead of what I told Quietman thinking about it now and having seen KoanYorel post.

OK, You are Welcome to join in the Fun on this one, Mate.

It is a real Fun one I think? Love you and anyone else to be involved in it.

We all just want to quitely Party and have a few bits and pieces of Banter at each other, in a Fun way.

You Countries got your Independence because of your Soldiers Heroics in the World Wars, And quite rightly as well. The Canadians always fought alongside the British, if it wasn't for some of there Soldiers the Germans would have blocked our Supply Line in World War 1 which was Calais I think. That would have meant the End of the War for us and it wouldn't take the Germans long to take out those Surrender Monkeys who are France smile.gif.

We were supporting the Belgians at the time and that is the only reason we went into World War 1 when the Germans jumped the Border into Belgium. Those Canadian Soldiers held a Massive German Detachment if my memory serves me alright and that when we eventually got the Reinforcements to them they had nearly repelled the Germans back.

Presidential Citations to the Canuks and Aussies, Mate.

QUOTE
One Canadian unit holds this battle honour. The 2nd Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry were awarded this citation in the Korean war, at Kapyong. The unit, with 800 soldiers, held the line as American forces and other UN forces withdrew. They were attacked by an estimated 10,000 Chinese soldiers.
One Australian unit, the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Australian Regiment, was awarded this battle honour. It earned it at the same Battle of Kapyong as the PPCLI, though on a different part of the front.

Just recently in Afgastastan, the Talabian were on Patrol.

just as they came to a dune hill they heard an Aussie Voice, "Don't come any closer"

The Leader sent five of his best men to see what it was. Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang Bang, then nothing!

Next thing an Aussie Voice, "Don't come any closer"

The Leader gets Furious and sends 500 over the Dune, after heaps of Gunfire one of his men crawls back over the Dune and gasps, "It is an Ambush, there are two of them!"

laugh.giflaugh.gif So we're talking Jokes now Ok this 1 is borderline but on the Good Side I think.

One morning, a man approached the first tee, only to find another guy approaching from the other side. They began talking and decided to play 9 holes together. After teeing off, they set off down the fairway, continuing their chat.

"What do you do?" the first man asked.

"I'm a salesman. What about you?"

"I'm a hitman for the mob," replied the second man.

The hitman noticed that the 1st guy started getting a little nervous and continued, "Yeah, I'm the highest paid guy in the business. I'm the best."

He stopped, sat down his bag of clubs, and pulled out a fancy, high powered rifle that was loaded with all types of scopes and sights. He then asked the man where he lived.

Still nervous the man replied, "In a subdivision just west of here."

The hitman placed the gun against his shoulder, faced west, peered into a scope and asked "What color roof ya' got?"

"Gray."

Then he asked "What color siding?"

"Yellow."

"You got a silver Toyota?"

"Yeah," replied the first man who was now completely amazed by the accuracy of the hitman's equipment. "That's my wife's car."

"That your red pickup next to it?"

Looking baffled the man asked if he could look through the scope. Looking through the sights, he said "Hell. That's my buddy Jeff's truck. What the hell is he doing there if I'm..?"

The hitman looked through the scope once more. "Your wife a blond and your buddy got black hair?"

The man nodded.

"Well, I don't know how to tell you, but I think you've got a problem. They're going at it like a couple of teenagers in there." said the hitman.

"Problem??! THEY'VE got the problem! I want you to shoot both of them! Right now!"

The hitman paused and said, "Sure. But it'll cost you. Like I said, I'm the best. I get paid $5,000 per shot."

"I don't care! Just do it! I want you to shoot her right in the head, and shoot him in the balls."

The hitman agreed, turned, and took firing position. He carefully stared into the sights, taking careful aim. He then said, "You know what buddy, this is your lucky day. I think I can save you $5,000!"

Very Good 1 if you haven't heard it before smile.gif.
Abacus 7

It is borderline, but as you say a good one.

A Ship sank in the Pacific Ocean and the survivours, a Pom, an Aussie, a Springbok and a Kiwi were adrift in a Row Boat for days.

After one day the Pom pulls out a Bottle of Scotch takes four swallows and throws the Bottle over board. "Why did you do that for," all the others asked. "Plenty more of that where I come from," was the answer.

Two days later the Springbok pulls out a stick of Beef Jerkie, takes a couple of bites and throws it overboard. "Why did you do that for," all the others asked. "Plenty more of that where I come from," was the answer.

For three days the Aussie brooded, then threw the Kiwi overboard!

Getting back to Rugby. I am not much of a bettor but occasionally I will bet against the ABs. When we win I take the loss with a laugh, but on the odd occasion when we are pipped at the post, I make a lot of money. LOL. Our last World Cup game was a good example, still quite a bit in the TAB from that one.
woodyblade
Well I believe it was the French who beat the Kiwis in the World Cup by a Narrow Scoreline, and England beat the French (Yeeeeaaaah smile.gif). How the Aussies and All Blacks won there Groups but lost to the Second Placed teams in the Draw thumbup.gif, Back to Micky taking again laugh.gif.

Good Joke Abacus as well smile.gif.

Bit of Serious stuff, Mate?

Most people know that a Qantas Jet made an Emergency Landing in Manilla enroute from Hong Kong to Melbourne after a mishap in air? 3M hole was found on landing.

Here is the Latest on it.

QUOTE
Oxygen tank blast caused Qantas incident19:54 AEST Fri Aug 29 20082 hours 1 minute agoBy Peter WilliamsVIEWS: 0| FLOCKS: 0| 0 comments so farAir safety investigators have blamed an exploding oxygen cylinder for blowing holes in the fuselage and floor of a Qantas plane mid-air, and warn it could happen again.

Investigators found the cylinder - one of several in the cargo hold - blew a hole near the wing and shot up through the cabin floor, knocking the plane's door close to the open position.

It came through the floor where a jump seat for crew was located but no one was in it at the time.

The cylinder also hit overhead panelling in the cabin before it dropped back into the hold and was sucked out of the aircraft through the ruptured fuselage.

Debris from the fuselage was also sucked into the No 3 engine, but did not cause major damage.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) released its preliminary report on Friday, but investigators are yet to determine what caused the cylinder to fail as the plane flew from Hong Kong to Melbourne on July 25, with 346 passengers and 19 crew on board.

While the event was rare, ATSB investigator Julian Walsh said he could not rule out a similar event in the future.

The Boeing 747-400 was 55 minutes into its journey when the explosion occurred at 29,000 feet, causing wind and objects to swirl around the cabin and panicking passengers.

Oxygen masks were dropped and the pilots made a rapid descent to 10,000 feet, before making an emergency landing at Manila airport.

"The passengers were obviously very lucky," Mr Walsh told reporters.

"(The cylinder's) been propelled up with significant force to do the damage that it has, and it's happened very quickly so it probably would have been a matter of seconds."

Mr Walsh said it would be difficult to learn what happened to the cylinder - which had been inspected six weeks before the incident - because it was not available to examine.

"There's nothing at this stage that the ATSB can identify that could have been done to prevent this, we don't really know why the bottle failed - that's the key question for the investigation."

He said he was not aware of a similar occurrence in aviation history but could not rule out such an event happening again.

"Anything's possible, it's certainly a rare event but no one can discount the possibility of those sort of things happening."

The bureau has issued safety advisories to airlines to undertake inspections, testing, maintenance and any required repairs of oxygen bottles.

The team plans to look into the design and manufacture of the cylinders, any recorded failures and the adequacy of inspections and maintenance.

Qantas chief executive Geoff Dixon said the airline's own investigations agreed with the ATSB's preliminary conclusions.

Qantas had completed an inspection of the oxygen systems across its B747-400 fleet on August 1, which confirmed there were no safety issues, Mr Dixon said.

The aircraft involved in last month's incident was repairable at a cost of less than $10 million and would be back in service in November 2008, he said.

Course anything can be talked about here as long as its related to the title.

I heard about it they suspected an Oxygen Bottle at the time I think thanks for the Story, I wanted to hear more about what had happened.

Oxygen is a very Volatile Substance it fuels Fire to burn so you know from that it can be dangerous any Heat and that thing would blow and since it is High Pressured and Pressure is pushing on the Plane so hard it has the possibility of going.

Glad they are Safe, about your Pictures I can't host them I don't bother with Online Storage or Hosting.

That is OK,

The Problem with Oxygen Bottles are they are Pressurised, but placed in an un Pressurised part of the Plane? I think this is but a start? Many Planes have came down, usually there is little left after that?

This just may be the tip of an IceBurg and sort out the Air Industry all over the World. They will all be reacting to this!

Nice to see one of the Government Body/ Agency is doing some thing!

rowal5555
When I was in the freezing industry many years ago, we had a population of about 3 million and 60 million sheep and lambs and they were far and away our biggest export. In 1882 the first shipments of frozen lamb took place from just south of my home town. http://www.historic.org.nz/TOTARAESTATE/History.html

Now our population is 4 million +, but numbers have dropped to about 40 million as dairying has taken over big time and there is a steady decline in the number of processing plants, which all now on-process to export finished product direct to retail chains.

Milk powder and associated dairy products are probably our major agricultural export now.

After being beaten by the ABs and the Wallibis over the last 2 weeks, I reckon that the Boks may just be fired up enough to give the Aussies a run for their money tonight, but their record is not too good lately.
