sometimes ill look at my computer and my mouse will be moving by itself, clicking and highlighting things, could there be a problem with my mouse? or a virus?

Sometimes it could be a bit of dirt in the mouse, or on the mousepad, but highlight stuff, you've got to click so it cant be a bit of dirt or the mouse pad, i suggest someone is looking\taking control of your computer.

Have you also tryed another mouse?

i have not tried another mouse, however i have turned off my mouse and it is still moving =S. i have run avast and super-anti-spyware and they both did not detect any viruses =S would there be any way of knowing if someone is controlling my computer?

Ok, i suggest you post this problem in Am i infected? What do i do? Forum, there they can see if you've got a virus or not.

If your mouse is moving by itself you have a poltergeist with you, if its your pointer it could be a build up of stuff (Dirt) on the shaft that connects the mouse ball to the sensor inside, that is if your mouse has a ball. what type of mouse do you use?
