I recently bought a laptop, But within the last hour my task manager has started to use 100% of my power, I have scanned for spyware and viruses but none have been found mellow.gif Any help?

Click on the processes tab in Task Manager and see which ones are hogging all of the CPU cycles
Jacee
You can also download Process Explorer. This will give you a better idea as to which application is being the 'hog':

If the process is the System Idle process, that's a good thing
.Connor
But its running really slow?
usasma
Click on the button in the lower left that says "Show processes from all users" and post a screen shot of that.
Also, what is the exact make and model of your laptop?
.Connor
Is their anyway to find that out? Also it seems to get slower the longer i am on the internet?
.Connor
Well heres the task manager viewing all users

Please help me out smile.gif

Open up Spybot Search and Destroy and disable Teatimer and see if that's an improvement
