Full Version: Vista System Is Infected With Vista Antivirus Rogue
BleepingComputer.com > Security > Am I infected? What do I do?

I have removed the rogue program Vista Antivirus /Vista antipsyware 2008, 2009 from several XP computers. But last night I found it on a fairly new Vista system.
No restore points work. There is no C drive listed in my computer.
Administrator rights have been removed or disabled.
It does start in safe, but without networking.

Is there a tool I can use which will kill the process? I tried malwarebytes but all updates for any antivirus antispy have been disabled.

Howdy!

You could try the steps located here;

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/malware-re...-antivirus-2008.

I've seen a few computer come through my office with this baddie, this way should work. I also tried attacking it with Spybot S&D and that used to work on the XP version. It's worth a shot at least!

Regards!
