sorry to butt in. I didn't want to start a new topic, this is sort of a similar question. I want to learn C++ and checked out a website that sold books on it, but there are so many different types of C++. Where do i start?
C++
C++ - BORLAND BUILDER
C++ - VISUAL C++
C++ - VISUAL C++ .NET
C++ - VISUAL C++ 5
C++ - VISUAL C++ 6
C++ - VISUAL C++.NET 2.0

What do you plan on learning C++ in. Visual C++ , Borland C++ ? These are different compilers. They each have their own extensions to the language, though the language itself stays the same. You can also get a free c++ compiler called bloodshed dev-c++

Sorry, i want to learn C++, i was under the impression that all of the 'VISUAL C++' stuff was, something else. I got Bloodshed a while ago, its kinda difficult. I've done some research into C++ and i find a couple of tutorials, but it all looks really difficult. Nothing seems get me anywhere. Do you recommend any books/downloads/tutorials or anything that could help me learn how to use it.
