Well, I wanted to get my first job but I don not know what kind of job positions are there, I know there are stockers, customer server, but I do not know what else and what to choose. I am 17 years old and need my first job which might be at a supermarket (Sobeys, Superstore, Wal-Mart) but I do not know a good job position since I have no work experience.

I need your advice.

Also, if you know a good forum that talks about jobs, please direct me to that.

Thanks.

Hello .. my slight bit of advice is since it is only a summer job. take whatever is available. Then when you are there you will be able to see what else exists.

Here a is a link with some better info about jobs. Job Search for Teens, Students and College Grads

Good luck in whatever you do !! thumbup2.gif

I would start in a clean place such as a grocery store. In Aldi they let you sit down by the way. My cousin works at walmart at the register and gets a rather amazing for the job, 8 bucks a hour starting. But you have to stand.

Oh and try if you have one near you, getting into a WHOLE FOODS grocery store. I think they let you sit also maybe but its such a nice place it looks like to work.

I was offered a job at a gas station crating stuff and stocking for 6.30 ish I was told this past week but I turned it down as I can get a lot better job and get paid a lot more.

Dont underestimate what you can do and take the cheap job just because it is open. Look around a bit for maybe a couple of weeks and compare the jobs you find. Look at the people you will be working with maybe shop in the place before applying and see how they are. Nothing like spending 8 hours a day with a hateful person always on your back for 6 bucks a hour or any price for that matter....
