I have antivirus xp 2008 on my computer and can't seem to get it off. I tried using "avast" however that did not clean the virus so I uninstalled it and tried Windows live onecare and I still have the same problem. ... please help asap! I have been fighting this for 3 days now.

Try this BC Self-help Removal Guide, and be sure to reinstall your resident AV of choice:

When done, copy and paste the results of the MBAM log report in your next reply. The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

Also let us know how your computer is running and if there are any more signs of infection or further problems.
