Here is my issue: I need to ghost an 80gb HDD to a 320gb HDD, but the box I have for this has only 2 "plugs" from the Power Supply. So if I want both HDD's up I have to disconnect the DVD Drive. So is there a way that I could ghost the 80gb to the 320gb using ghost from a USB Drive? Or are there any other alternatives?

Not sure about USB but there are several ways:

Install both HDDs in a PC that has enough power plug-ins, or replace your power supply with something better, or plug in a 3 dollar splitter that turns one plug into two. Or Ghost your image to an external USB HDD. I strongly recommend this way because this device is something you should have in your arsenal anyway. Ghost 9 and up is very good with enabling USB stuff.

Well...what's wrong with temporarily removing the PS connection (and the motherboard connection) to the optical drive?

The optical drive isn't necessary when ghosting, you can change it back after your mission is accomplished smile.gif.

^^What do you mean? Don't I need the the disk to "tell" the PC where to put the image? Is there a ghost program that runs off of a USB drive? I'm sure an image won't fit on a USB.-
