I know its a lot, but I really want to be sure that they are compatible. Will this comp be fast? I hope so...

My computer use is mainly towards documents, internet, listening to music, and I am also into games like sins of a solar empire, WOW, and especially Oblivion. If possible, I would like to run these maxed and still be able to get playable FPS.

The larger 1680x1050 resolution is worth it for 10$ more, since its a 19 inch screen, trust me. (actually its less right now)


I think you should take a bit of money from the video card, by downgrading it to an 8800, and beefing up your Processor and mobo.

Ok: To me it all looks good, maybe a 320 gig Hard drive. I have a Seagate sata. I like AMD platform. Hope it helps.

I agree with audioAl about the drive size. Spend a few extra bucks for a
larger drive.
Also check the dimensions of the new case. Nothing like getting that
brand spanking shiny new case home and find out it's too big to stuff
in the spot you want to put it. (yes ... it happened to me)

I suggest putting more RAM in than 2GB. I know it's XP and not Vista, but if you plan on keeping this PC for a while, the extra RAM will certainly help. Also, in the future, should you choose to make this a gaming centered PC, additional PCI express x16 slots would make SLI or Crossfire possible. Your PC only has a single slot, this is no big deal if you don't play the latest and greatest games at their max settings or use the PC for general tasks. Are you getting a sound card for the PC or are you going to use the on-board sound? My suggestion for a sound card would be the Asus Xonar D2X (put those PCI express x1 slots to good use). It's expensive but it sounds phenomenal. BTW your case looks awesome!
