I am planning my first build in a few weeks and in the meantime I would love to be able to peruse some step by step guidelines for formatting and partitioning new HDD. I really like what I have read about the data security of a RAID 1 setup but afraid that is way out of my league. Will mostly be using to store & edit family home videos & photos, plus some restoration of sentimental pix. Also music & movies, etc. Just don't want to lose the family stuff once I get started so ...
