A few days ago, I started to install Sound Blaster Live. For some reason it wasen't working properly so I uninstalled it. When I did that, it somehow left my D-drive all messed up. Whenever i would pop in a game, it would no longer read it automatically as it should. When I would click on the D-drive icon, the folder would freeze, messing up my computer so I would have to restart.

I finally said I had enough. So what I did was pop in the windows 2000 cd and try to upgrade windows. When the process was finally over, 2 little boxes popped up and it gave me 2 error messages:

The\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\Dxapi.sys device driver could not locate the entry point KeIsAttachedProcess in driver ntoskrnl.exe

The\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\nvcap.sys device driver could not locate the entry point StreamClassQueryMasterClockSync in driver.

I then tried last good known good configuration, but that didn't work. Then I rebooted from the Cd so that I could repair windows. That made it worse.

Now, everytime I restart the computer, there is a blue screen and it says:
The\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\Dxapi.sys device driver could not locate the entry point KeIsAttachedProcess in driver ntoskrnl.exe

I tried running DirectX and Nvidia, but didn't suceed.

I'am unable to us the computer at the moment because of this and I'am actually on Safe Mode as I type this. Everything seems fine except for this. Any help will do, but on a simple level. I

I just want to say that I managed to fix the problem. I logged in Safe Mode then went to Windows Updates. Then I installed all the updates it had and I no longer have the blue screen error. I'am able to use windows in normal mode now.

The problem is I went through all that BS and I still can't get my D-drive to read like it used to. Whenever I put in this game I have, the screen doesn't pop up on the monitor. When I look at the D-drive's icon on My Computer, it looks like no Cd is in there.

Ok guys, I seem to have solved everything. I cleaned the Cd and the drive with rubbing alcohol and it works fine now. Thanks anyway. lol
