I'm new to this forum and very much a beginner, so be gentle smile.gif Thanks in advance for any help!

I have a new computer with a Biostar K8M800 Micro AM2 IGP mobo w/AMD A64x2 3800+ 2.0ghz and onboard sound and video. I have an ATI Radeon 9250 graphics card and a Creative Audigy SE sound card that I plan to install myself.
My question is, do I need to "uninstall" the on board stuff and, because it's on board..is there anything I have to physically remove??

Thanks again so much!!

Welcome to bleepingcomputer!

You shouldn't have to uninstall anything if it's onboard. It should automatically switch the video card as the default video device and the sound card as the default sound device. Sometimes though, you may have to go into the bios and disable them though. If that doesn't work, you may need to also disable them in device manager in windows. Of course remember to install the new drivers after installing the new hardware.

If it is onboard, it is built into the board, you can't physically remove it.
