HIya guys, just having a little trouble instaslling Vista ultimate for a dual boot config.

Systen: Abit An-m2hd, athlon 64x2 4800+@3.03ghz, 2gb corsair pc6400 ram, maxtor diamond 10 160gb (satas), ocz 600w psu, liteon dvd rw (sata), running xp sp3, on 26" samsung hd LCD.

All is fine with the system at mo, have made an image of my current hard drive. Partitioned 40gb for vista. booted from vista installation cd, went through the necessary screens until the copying, expanding files page.

Copying files takes literally a ms, then jumps to expanding files, but stays on 0%, doesnt hang, but doesnt progress any further.

The Dvd drive doesn't seem to be doing much either, if i eject the cd, after a few minutes it will prompt me for the cd, but again nothing after that. I have left it at this stage for over 2 hours, so definetly a prob somewhere.

Havent tried a ide cd/dvd drive rather than sata, thats only thing?
