Hello.
I am trying to figure out how I can water cool the chipset in machine I would like to build. The goal is to make the system have no fans at all, which means I have to go with water cooling. (Cooler is a large homemade heat exchanger made out of copper pipe commonly used in municipal water systems. Should be large enough to kee) However, I have heard that if you cool the CPU with water cooling, you need to do somethign for the chipset which normally thrives on airflow generated by the CPU cooler.
I don't want to just pull the sinks off the motherboard's chipset because that would likely damage the parts.
Any ideas on if there is a way to get a board with the sinks off, or a way to remove the sinks from an existing board. Or some sort of a board that comes with a water block already installed on the chipset?
Oh, I'm looking for something with Intel's X48 chipset, a Socket T (LGA 775), that takes DDR3
