So, a person at school's 30gb Ipod video wasn't working right, and she ended up buying a new one. She said I could have her old Ipod even if I could fix it. After about 8 hours of work, and the apple website being of no help, I reformatted the hard drive through windows, and it worked!
Anyway, I've had this Ipod for a while now, but the one thing bad about it, is that the plastic screen cover was scratched up very badly. The other day I decided to look online for a replacement front panel so I could replace the screen, and I found a website called ikaput.com which had colored front panels. They are the same price as the regular white and black ones on other sites, so I decided might as well get a red one. The red is a nice right red color //ikaput.com/ipod-video..., and the one I received is a burgundy-pink color. My biggest complaint though is that it is all scratched up and used looking! It is almost as bad as the front panels screen that was already on the Ipod...
I e-mailed the company and receive nothing for a couple days. I then decide to call them a few times, during the hours they have listed, and every time I get the message saying this number is not valid or something along those lines.
Also, I was just googling ikaput.com and it appears many other people have had many problems with them.
I guess the moral of this story is to always be careful of what you buy, especially on the internet. If your not aware of the company, maybe you should do some research first. Luckily, it was only $30 because of shipping, but still, I could of just bought a new white one from someplace like ifixit.com and it probably would be fine.
