My dad got me a new laptop.
Here are the specs:
AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-52 (1600mhz, 512 L2 cache per core)
2gb ddr2 667 ram
120gb hdd sata
nforce 610m, geforce 7000m
14.1" WXGA Resolution 1280x800, Color-Shine (Glare-type)
generic wlan, lan, etc
Just wanted to know these things:
1. How is it and what can I expect from it (at its maximum)?
2. Any tips on how to bring it to its maximum potential (couldn't find nforce and geforce drivers for it though)?
3. Do Asus-made lcd screens have a good reputation/history or do they go bad quickly?
4. How about their batteries?

Do you have the exact model number for the laptop?
If you do you will probably be able to google it and find quite a few reviews.
Hope this helps.

Since this is a laptop, it's best to stay with the drivers from the laptop manufacturer Also there is no need to update drivers or the BIOS just to have the latest version. The old adage here applies "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
I'd max out the memory and leave it alone
