can anyone tell me if vista has a firewall built into it? do i need one with this platform? my other laptop on XP professional was hacked and i am now trying to protect myself as much as possible so any help would be appreciated please

Windows Vista does have a firewall, it is a slightly better version than the one built into XP you can find it in the security center. However, some say it is good and others say it is bad.
