I have a raedeon 3850 PCIe and its supposed to be able to play audio through the hdmi cable plugged into the tv. I installed all drivers from ati and all drivers that came with the card and i still cant get audio has anyone else had this problem? does any one know how to fix it?

You may want to check your TV and make sure the Audio Input is set to HDMI for whatever input you're using.

May or may not be the issue. I know it is a major problem I run into when I'm doing home theater installations. Some TVs default to Optical interface for HDMI inputs which doesn't make sense to me since you have the high-bandwidth interface of HDMI available.

Nevertheless, check under the menu on your TV or test by using a DVD player or other source to input both video and audio into the HDMI interface.
