Hello everyone,

The title of this topic pretty much explains the point of this post... I have no previous programming experience so books made for an absolute novice would be nice thumbup2.gif

Thanks!

Use Google! Ask your local bookstore! Try your local library! Or a school/college.

For beginners try -
"C++ Programming - Visual Quickstart Guide"; Larry Ullman & Andreas Signer; Peachpit Press
"Teach Yourself C++ in 24 hours"; Jesse Liberty & David Horvath; Sams
"C++ all-in-one Desk Reference for Dummies"; Jeff Cogswell; Wiley Pulishing (may be just right for you - smile.gif )

There are many more so you will probably get a lot of conflisting replies here.

Thanks Alan!

Problem with the local bookstores/library is they either have 1 or two computer books or the computer books they have are from 10 years ago. Right now looks like I'm going to go to either Barnes and Noble or Borders.

My main C++ book is "The C++ Programming Language" by Bjarne Stroustrup (the creator of C++).

Of course!! I forgot Bjarne!! Sorry
