I'm using Ubuntu Hardy Heron / Firefox
Ok, I know nothing about using Powerpoint, so my post will probably be "choppy" in the explanation of my problem, so feel free to ask for additional information.
To start, I received an email with an attachment ( .PPS file extension ) that I want to post on another board. The slideshow runs fine via Open Office on my computer. I saved the attachment in my home folder. I "assumed" it would upload to my Photobucket account that I use for images, but it's not supported there. When I try to "select" a file in my home folder to upload, it just doesn't show. Is there a program similar to Photobucket that would work for me with the.PPS file extension?
The file is in my home folder - places/home folder shows the icon, and it opens from there.
Thanks, Keith

You might try SendSpce Wizard go to
SendSpace WizardYou upload the file to the web, where it can be either public or private.
You then send the link to your recipient.

Sorry about the delay Rick, I've got it installed, just having some problems with account sign in, I think I'll create a new account and start over.
Thanks, Keith

Here's two more upload sites for you to check out:
http://www.filedropper.com/http://www.mediafire.com/I have not used either, but both say they require no sign up.

raw - I'm trying out media fire, seems to best fit my needs. I've posted the slideshow on another board, and I'm waiting to see if it worked. It opens with Open Office on my computer, but I'll have to wait for replys from others. I'll post back results as I get them.
Thanks, Keith

Ok... my trial and error period is over with this, and I've found that Mediafire serves my purpose - works great for me. Thanks for all the info folks.
