About a week ago my ATI Radeon X800 crashed on me so I need a new card. I'd prefer to stick with ATI because that's what I like, and here are the 2 cards I'm trying to pick between. The ATI Radeon 2600XT, or the ATI Radeon X1650 Pro. Both of them are available with 512MB which is what I want. I want whichever one will be better for games, graphics, etc and I've read great reviews about both. I'm not sure which one is newer/better or what the differences are between them and pros and cons of each. I just wondered if anyone here has tried both of those exact cards and could maybe help. Thanks, that does look like a really good card. The problem is, I don't know what cards my processor can handle. There's no model number or anything written on the processor itself other than "AMD", and since my video card is dead I can't get onto the computer and see what it is. Also, the cheapest price I found on the 3850 with 512 MB was $162. I dont want to spend that much on something my 3 and a half year old computer might not handle. I'm looking to spend under $100 and I found both of the ones I mentioned for about $87. I just don't know which of the 2 to get, and I'm afraid the 3850 will be too much for my motherboard and processor. I guess I'll try the 2600XT.

Do you know if you have an AGP slot or a PCI expressX16 slot for graphics?

It's a 16x PCI express slot. Thanks for the replies. I ordered the 2600XT already, cuz I need to have my comp back as soon as possible. If it doesn't work with my comp it's ok because the ebay store I bought it from has a 14 day return policy, which means I could exchange it for another one if I needed to. It seems like a pretty good card for what I need. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

look on newegg.com it should be cheaper there. Also if your processor is slower then it will hold back the card a little but you might be able to upgrade that next.
