I am looking to purchase a wireless router in the near future. I was wondering if anyone could suggest one that is not expensive or maybe give me some specs to look for in a good wireless router. Thanks!

A little background info:

The laptops connecting to the wireless have windows xp pro.
The ISP is comcast.
Would like to get a router with a good range, so the wireless could be picked up in three rooms.

How about this one

it uses Wireless N, which is the newest one out there.
If you don`t have a N reciever then go for this one

This is the one i've been using for over a year with not one issue.

since we're on the subject (i'm in the market for a new router as well; there are 3 desk-top computers and 2 laptops in our house!), are there any cable modem/routers out there besides the motorola sbg900?? the reviews on it are not that great...and it's a bit pricey for "not great". i'd happily spend more for a GOOD one...but if there isn't a decent one out there, then i guess we'll just go the router route (did NOT mean to make a "pun"...lol). it would certainly be nice to have both the modem and router in one package...but i'm not going to sacrifice good performance just to save less than a square foot of space.

thanx for the input!

what ever happened to the good ol' fashion Linksys wrt54g?? easy to configure and gives you all the best options for security: wep, wpa, mac address filtering,etc....

configure the device with the info below:
