I have a gp22w sharp notebook computer. How do you access the inverter in the LCD screen . I have located two screws under sticky rubber gromets but this does not seem to allow me to pry the screen apart. I dont want to force it by prying but that seems to be the way other LCDs are accessed. appreciated.

Okay , I got in and replaced the inverter. No luck, so I assume it is the light source. Are there any tricks here?

The Actius gp22w I purchased was a floor model. I got the two year warrenty with it and that expired Feb 22 of 05. Shape no longer list that model at all and has a very poor support system. I don't recommend anyone buy anything from them short of a blender or micro wave. There is one and only one supplier for parts for this Laptop that ive been able to find in the U.S.

From what i gather replacing the light source is not that difficult but was wondering if anyone knew if there was any sortering involved. Thanks for your suggestion though.
