I have tried fixing this myself before asking any help. I have looked over the forum to try to find a fix. I have done pretty much everything suggested before. I have uninstalled, installed java6 update 6. However, I can not dl adobe flash player. For some reason it wont install. I have enabled active controls and everything. I have uninstalled and tried to install adobe flashplayer. I ran a test from the adobe website and it says that I have the right version. Does anyone have any ideas?

Negative. It just one day decided not to work. So I updated javascript to the new one.
I removed all previous versions of javascript and reinstalled it. I also did the same thing with
adobe flash player.

I have done this about 10 times with no such luck. I go to the uninstall on adobe's website and unistall app then try to install the new one. The installing the new one is the problem, the activex or something will not let me dl the adobeflash. The activex works on everything else. I have used the test on the adobe website and it says that I have the current adobe flash player. This is why I am thinking it has something to do with the javascript.

What internet browser are you using.
Also, try cleaning out all your temp internet files.

Java & Javascript aren't the same thing and shouldn't affect Flash anyway. What browser do you use and look in Add/Remove Programs to see what version of Flash you have.

If it's the activeX Flash player you are talking about, you can check its status on Control Panel>Internet Explorer>Browsing History>Settings>View objects.
Its usually pretty obvious which it is at it will say Flash player or shockwave player etc. If it shows as 'damaged' just delete it and start again.

Ok. I checked what you said and you were right. I had 2 things that were damaged. I had the shockwave player damaged as well as some funky numbering. I removed both of them.
Should I uninstall everything again and start over ?

You may try this as it has worked for others:
To repair problems with your system:
- Download Dial-a-fix from djlizard.net
- Unzip the file and double-click Dial-a-fix.exe to start the program.
- Press double green checkmark - "Check all"- to turn everything on.
- Close all other open windows.
- Press "GO" to start processing all checkmarked items.
- REBOOT your computer afterwards, important.

You can use Windows File Protection to repair the system files if they are corrupted.
Go to Start > Run and type or copy and paste in Run box: sfc /scannow
(note the space between sfc and /)
It launches Windows File Protection. It may takes a while (usually around 20 min if your computer is fast) to check the integrity of Windows system files and if needed replaces them.
You may need your Windows installation CD.

1. Could you give me feedback about my first question?
2. You disable the extensions with the command and then disable all add-ons with the Mange Add-ons. Then enable them one by one and try to check IE each time to find out which extension is broken. But this procedure applies when IE crashes or hangs at start up due to a buggy add-on.

It looks like maybe Flash may be corrupted or something. Maybe you should try to uninstall and reinstall again. When uninstalling, be sure to use Adobe's uninstalling tool. It will not uninstall properly from Add/Remove Programs.

I have done this many times already. I have even ran the test saying that I have the correct version. I have done this probably at least 40 times. I have been to the adobe's website and used the uninstall tool you are talking about.

If you're getting a Javascript error, it means whoever programmed that page messed up. It won't affect your ability to watch videos on Youtube. There are two possibilities. Settings within Flash may need adjusting. See the link below for more info. The other possibility is a problem with audio drivers. If it's not one, it may be vthe other.

http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/08/16/s...ernal-websites/I cant even do that. It says: "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player", on you tube. I cant even get to the video part.

You have to uninstall and reinstall Flash. The JavaScript thing is a red herring and is not related to Java. I know you think you have the latest version of Flash but sometimes the installation doesn't work properly. So you have to uninstall using Adobe's uninstallation tool and reinstall the latest version.

You have already tried many things, no harm trying this one too to check if the file associations are not broken:
Download Deckard's Association File Tool
daft.exe and save it to your desktop.
- Double click on it and click Run.
- Click on the Scan button.
- If it finds faulty file associations, they will appear in red beside a checkbox.
- Click Save Log to save daft.txt
- Copy and paste the content of daft.txt to your reply.
