When the computer starts up it displays a Winxp screen instead of showing the black screen with white words.. (i know i sound clueless) but for lack of correct terms I need to see the setup command line so I can get into bios. how do I remove the screen?

Can you tell me what type of computer you are running? Dell gateway etc..? Or is it custom built? Dell and gateway and hp dont have "award bios" they have there own sort to speak. So it is normal not to see "the white word's. If you want to get into your bios, it is usally delete but some motherboards are different! But 90% of them use the delete button.

It is custon built by a freind - it has a bee with HB on the tower if that tells you anything I know that the guy bragged about being able to show the screen on startup instead of the mystical white words so I it most likely can be changed-
actually though i tried F10 apon restarting earlier and it did the trick so i guess the deal is solved.
thanks
