I have a STUPID HP HDX9200. I thought it was the coolest thing in the world until I actually bought it. 4 months from purchase and 2 replacements later, I am STILL having problems with the laptop.

The SECOND replacement computer they sent me has a bad hard drive. HP as usual doesn't know what they are doing and sent me a hard drive for some 13" laptop. The problem I'm having now is I already formatted my old hard drive I have to send in, but the way it's being done is unusual to me. I pop the windows recovery disc in, and it formatts the partition automatically supposedly. I'd like to get directly to the partitions myself and delete them. When it does it automatically, it says my hard drive size is 32GB, starts some FBI Gui (File Based Interface or something) and trys to install software which never finishes.

SO - does anyone know how I can access the partitions on Vista 64-bit? Exact directions would be great!

Thank you!

Ryan

One of those partitions is the recovery partition, I don't think you want to mess with that one. You should be able to format the hdd with the installation disc, not the recovery disc.
