Hi everybody,
I'm currenly running a custom-built computer with Vista Home Premium installed, and everytime the computer boots or wakes up from hibernation, I always get this little dialogue box that says:
Hp Task Manager Component has stopped working
this program has closed and bla bla bla, windows cannot find a solution, bla bla, etc.
So i press the button 'close program' and the box goes away, and the rest of the computer runs fine and normal.
But since this message appears everytime I turn my computer on or wake it up from sleeping, it's just really very annoying and I would like to know a way to fix this!
Thanks!

What HP products/software have you installed on the system?

Well, based on the add/remove programs list, i only have an hp printer installed (hp deskjet 5100). I think hp update also occurs, although it's not present on the list. Other than that, I don't think i have any other hp products or software installed.
By the way, this message box didn't appear when I had XP, but when I installed Vista, then I think it started to appear.
any suggestions?
Thanks!

When you installed the printer, did you get the driver from the HP website, or was it the driver on the CD? I've seen some issues with the CD driver on HP printers not being Vista compatible.
Regardless, I'd suggest uninstalling the HP stuff completely, then download the latest drivers from the HP website if you want to reinstall it.
