My computer keeps reminding me to make my recovery dvd's (packard bell laptop), When i first bought the laptop i tried to make them but it gets to so many % then stops and wont carry on. Its still reminding me to make them and ive tried dvd, cdr but with no luck. I am concerned that should my laptop "die" for any reason i then have no way of reinstalling vista. Please help, Heidi

p.s ive just had help with spyware/malaware and done hijackthis/combo fix etc and my computer is now running ok again

I'd suggest contacting Packard Bell for support on this issue - they can tell what's wrong, and they can provide recovery disks if needs be.

Thanks for the reply, i had a look at the packard bell website under "support" and there was a patch for this very problem so fingers crossed,
