Is there a way in Vista to reduce the Restore points by reducting the percetage of drive space allowed? It seems that every nite my computer creates a restore point, and after a couple weeks is using half the drive. I can do a disk clean-up and then delete all but the current, but that bugs having to do it all the time.....Thanks for any help or 411 !!

Be very careful setting it to 8GB, vista creates a restore point at midnight every night, as well as every time you download something or restart your pc, according to the default on my pc that is. I had mine set to 3GB and could only go back about 2 days, thats useless to me, I reset mine for 37 GB on a 350GB hdd.
as long as I know where they are and how to get them back this is just added protection, I am going to look into how to set the triggers which can also be found on the link that was already given to you, but please know that I am very new to computers. just wanted to give you a liitle info that I've experienced myself.

hi,,, this is the link Dutch is recomending
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vis...-windows-vista/

i have changed a few of these settings and everything is running ok, i disabled the restore every night at 24:00,,, which is pointless,, unless you leave your pc on 24/7.
good luck.

Huh....I changed it to 12, just for alittle extra....
