I have a Trendenet 452BRP set up in my home.
Other people who bring their laptops to my home connect up immediately without problems.
My Gateway laptop (Vista home premium) will not connect (though it will connect if the password protection is removed from the router). It sees the network, but will not connect.
My laptop, however, has no problems connecting up to any other passworded wireless routers that I have encountered.
I tried disabling both my McAfee firewall and the Vista firewall...no help.
I'm using WEP with a 5 character password.
Incidentally, the wired part of the network works fine.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The router has been re-sent numerous times. We get power outage in our neighborhood any time there's a thunderstorm. :-)
What do you mean by "repairing it"...in Vista?
Thanks.

I see you are using Vista... I use XP so I know nothing about Vista.
That's horrible "We get power outage in our neighborhood any time there's a thunderstorm."
What I ment by repairing it is right click on your wireless network beside the clock, then click repair and see if that works...

I already tried using that "Repair" method...it did not work.
