In the View menu item, click on Explorer Bar, then click to put a check by "Folder" - does that work?

- Go To Start
- Right-Click on My Computer
- Go to Properties
- Click on the Advanced
- Under the Preformance click on Settings
- In the check list in that window scroll down till you see Use Common Tasks in Folder and check it
- Click OK
- Click Ok on the screen under it as well
Now you should see the sidebar in the windows

No, it's just a way of referring to the pane in Windows Explorer that normally displays the folder tree.

ok try this...
- Go To Start
- Right-Click on My Computer
- Go to Properties
- Click on the Advanced
- Under the Preformance click on Settings
- Hit the option button that says Let Windows choose what is best for my computer
- Click OK
- Click Ok on the screen under it as well
