Trying to install a used Broadlogic 2030 (vBox) satellite pci card without an install cd. Windows sees it as a network controller(not identified). Hardware wizard cannot install because of (no drivers). The drivers came from vbox website. When I right click on the following files, windows needs to know what program created them. 1.Default.cas 2.inst App.ex 3. NDVBS.VXD. I can't find a program to associate them with (to?).I'm sort of new to computers so I hope I've got an operator problem. Suggestions? Thanks much, Joe.

Hi.

Seems that you need to go through Device Manager to install the drivers. The .vxd file is a driver file. If you go into Device Manager, locate your uninstalled device (should have yellow markings beside it), then go through the procedure for updating/installing the driver...all should be well.

Update Drivers

Just guessing...but I suspect that double-clicking on that .exe file should start the install of the drivers, without going throug Device Manager.

I have no idea what that .cas file is, but I would guess that it's nonessential.

Louis.
