do you mean different titles for the HJT team OR

on the occasions when the HJT tool itself has to be renamed to enable it to run and do its job mellow.gif

if the former; I beleive ( Admin ) Animal has stated elsewhere on this site that the HJT team and Training is being 'revamped' so things may well appear different whistling.gif

In the training area, there are changes being made to better disseminate the massive amount of information, that is required to be studied and comprehended. With that in mind there was discussion between some of the existing trainees and the coaches. What came from that Q&A is what you see. Instead of just two groups of trainees, there are now three groups and a more structured and gradual pace that the training information will be presented.
Any member with 'Classmen' in their title is a trainee in the HJT/malware portion of these forums. They are not yet part of the malware team until they graduate and their title is changed to HJT Team. Lastly, you asked 'which is which'? The progression, is Sophomore being first then move to Junior, final training status is Senior. After completing Senior, trainees are promoted the HJT Team.

From: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sophomore

a student in the second year at college(university) or a 4-year secondary school

In this instance we are using the term as a descriptor, not the literal meaning.

So HJT Sophomore Classmen would be the equivalent to HJT Trainee? Is there a HJT Freshman?
Animal
They are all trainees, and the old format does not have an equivalent today. The training is totally revamped. The presentation of material is vastly different. Hence the 3 tiered designations. The beginning group is the Sophomore group. And in regards to the term Freshmen, that classification does not exist at this time, and not for the foreseeable future.
