seeing that updates for avg will no longer happen after this month I was wondering if avast is as good as avg.
Never had problems with avg but can't afford to up grade to paid version . Or can you recommend another good free virus protector

if I am correct your windows version is XP?

those of us who run windows 98se WILL have problems as support and updates for THAT OS will no longer happen ..we think...after September 08

however, with XP I THINK you are safe.....

You don't have to buy it. You can get the free AVG 8 which offers AVG Anti-Virus and AVG Anti-Spyware in one smile.gif
